Snow Joe Ultra 622U1 Electric Snow Blower Reviews
A hundred of online reviews were posted for Snow Joe 622U1 Electric Snow Blower and most of the users appreciate its performance, claiming that this Snow Joe 622 does as good a job at snow removal. This snow blower hangs on a pair of wall hooks in the garage with the cord hanging next to it.
It moves all the snow as easy as vacuuming, right down to the concrete. This is a very well-built and easy-to-use snow blower for handling fresh dry snow. It’s a light weight non-gas machine, lighter, faster and easier to use than any other snow machine.
It plows right through snow, has no problem throwing the snow far enough and throws snow clear across the street. It’s easy to assemble and ready to go.
Some other pleased owners stated that the Snow Joe 622U1 is lighter than the beast of a snow blower that some people had been struggling to use. It does alright with 6 inches of packed or slushy stuff too but it is far better to use when the snow is fairly fresh.
While you can’t really compare this to much larger gas-powered snow blowers meant to throw much deeper snow, compared to a gas-powered unit of similar size, or slightly larger, this thing is superior.
You need not worry about maintaining it or starting it after it’s been sitting for nearly a year. The handle cab be detached and you can put the unit on a shelf so it doesn’t take up much space in the garage.
The unsatisfied buyers expresses frustration because the Snow Joe electric snow thrower is hardly throws the snow to any distance at all. You wind up dumping snow on areas you have already cleared and have to go back over them again and again. If the snow is even the littlest bit moist, it barely throws it a foot and smells like burning rubber while you use it.
The chute that moves around to direct the snow needs work. You can point the chute that directs the tossed snow in a general direction but when you try to point it downward at all or even straight off to the side, as soon as the snow starts coming out, it pushes the chute straight back up in the air.
This probably has a lot to do with why it doesn’t throw the snow very far. There are a couple of locking wheels you can tighten when you adjust the angle of the chute but even if you really tighten them down, they still loosen up almost immediately.
This snow blower is underpowered. It is rated to draw 13 to 15 Amp which is equivalent to roughly 2 horsepower which makes it simply not enough to throw snow more than two feet.
Our research team took into consideration both the positive and negative reviews for Snow Joe Ultra 622U1. We found out that most of its users were satisfied with its performance and capability. It is lightweight and very easy to use so elderly or weaker people are able to easily handle this machine and it does a great job. As long as you understand that this is an electric snow blower and not gas-powered and use it with some limitations in mind, it will perform well.
